MY WISH LIST: FROM THE INTERNET OF THINGS

Let’s Get Real: A Practicable Deliverable From the Internet of Things.

4 Things I Want:

  1.  Good Food
  2.  Not Wasting Money
  3.  Eating Healthy
  4.  Being Timely and Efficient With My Food Time

Presently, I pretty much fail on all four of the above because don’t know how to organize my food inventory, purchasing, recipes, and diet management.  I have been eating every day of my life and I have not improved on the process since the day I was born.

I am a total mess when it comes to: food purchasing, managing my food inventory and dietary consumption management. I "loosely" know maybe a dozen rudimentary recipes. I'm pretty sure many others are horrible at food management too.

Here is what I want the Internet of things to provide me and everyone else ASAP.

• When I go to a store, I want the store to send me a data file of the things I put in my cart.

• I want the store to keep a record of what I purchased previously and what I have in my home so I don’t over buy.

• I want the total "real time" inventory of my food measured, calculated, and mindful of spoilage and expiration dates.

• Each day, I want my food stock to suggest an optimized menu for myself and my family based on what we like most and what is available.

• I want the best available recipes presented to me in my kitchen that are easy to follow.

• I want analysis on every meal I consume; the amount of calories, salt, protein, carbs, sugar. I want to tell myself (my data file) what meal “felt good” to my body.

• I want to tell my data file when my body does not like what I give it.  I want my diet to be constantly refined and improved upon based what I enjoy eating, what my body likes, my budget, and time constraints.

• It would be a good idea for each food container to have a sensor in it.

• I would also appreciate having a medical sensor in my watch monitoring my body anticipating my hunger, blood sugar levels and prompts me at the best time to start cooking a meal.

• If I could save a few bucks that would be great too, but fix the other things first… I'm a mess.

Please Hurry!

Sincerely,

Brian French
